International Application For Low Income Properties

This is the International Housing Application document submissions webform department for new and existing Low income housing applications.
If you have submitteId a brand new Housing Application, you must provide documents for each person, including yourself, that is on your application.
If you are submitting documents for an additional person(s) to your existing Housing Application, you will only need to submit documents for that person(s) only.
Failure to submit all documents that we require will result in significant and lengthy delay in processing your application.
If you don’t have all the documents with you at present, please consider not completing this form yet.
It will be quicker to obtain all documents and submit in one form, than to partially submit some documents now and some documents later.
We strongly advise you to have all documents for all members of your household when completing this form.

International Residence Application For Affordable Housing

WHAT WE ACCEPT WITHIN YOUR HOUSING APPLICATION

We accept clear photos of documents that have been taken with a smartphone as well as files such as jpeg’s and pdf’s that you can upload from a computer or smartphone.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THIS FORM

Below is a list of information you need to provide at the end of this application:

1 form of identity for each adult (18 or above)

  • Birth Certificate – Please note non-British must be accompanied by a copy of settlement/immigration document

  • Current British Passport

  • Current Passport and/or Immigration documents

  • (Non-EU passports must show immigration visa stamp)

2 different proofs of your current address from the following list for each adult (over 18). One of which must be 5 or more years old

  • Full driving licence

  • Pension Details

  • College/University confirmation

  • Electoral Register Entry

  • Recent bank statement

  • Educational Maintenance Allowance Details

  • Tenancy Agreement

  • Recent bill for gas

  • Recent bill for telephone / mobile phone bill

  • Recent bill/book for electricity or water supply

  • Recent bill for council tax

  • P60

  • For applicants who are not a main tenant, a written and signed statement from the main tenant or homeowner including their contact details confirming that you have been given permission to reside in their accommodation and the date from when this commenced, and proof they are the main tenant or homeowner.

  • Proof of income

  • Confirmation from DSS showing name and address

  • Recent Pay-slip

  • Letter from employer showing name and current address

  • Contract of employment

  • Bank statement showing wages

  • Voluntary National Insurance contributions

  • Pay and Tax records

  • recent Self Assessment Tax return

  • registering for Self Assessment Employment Tax & National

  • Voluntary contributions to the borough- If you or anyone on your application is currently volunteering for a not for profit organisation or charity in Southwark you will need to provide a confirmation letter from the manager responsible for the volunteers. This must state the number of hours worked per month and the date you started working.

    CHILDREN

  • For each child under 18 years, please provide either:

  • British full birth certificate

  • Non-British birth certificate must be accompanied by a copy of settlement/immigration document and Child Benefit details – giving child(ren)s name

  • Child Tax Credit – details giving child(ren)s name

  • Where a child has been previously cared for by another parent/guardian a combination of the following must also be provided: Each case will be considered on its merits:

  • Residence or custody order from the courts
